As teachers of yoga, we actively honor the ancient lineage of this sacred practice by teaching asanas in both English and Sanskrit.
Sanskrit, a classical language of India, is the original language in which many of yoga’s teachings, mantras, and practices were passed down; it is used in a vast collection of texts, including poetry, drama, scientific, technical, philosophical, and religious works.
By speaking the names of postures and yogic concepts in both Sanskrit and English, we actively honor and show respect for yoga’s ancient lineage while also making its wisdom accessible.
We recognize that when we teach and practice yoga in Sanskrit, we are honored to be experiencing and sharing a tradition that is both ancient and living.

Yoga
At the heart of everything we do is the practice of yoga. Through movement and stillness, we seek self-understanding and transformation.
Accessibility
Guided by the yogic principle of Samatva (equanimity), we remove physical, financial, and social barriers to yoga.
Inclusivity
Yoga is fundamentally about connection. We value your voice, identity, and lived experience(s).
Service
Inspired by the yogic principle of seva (selfless service), we strive to be of service with humility and compassion.
Integrity
We believe that how we do anything is how we do everything. Rooted in Satya (truth), we are committed to transparent action and communication.
